ABSTRACT
Providing arts and music to preschoolers can help them in many areas of learning within a school setting or outside of the classroom. Music aids in the understanding of fractions and keeping time which in turn can make learning math, chemistry, and other types of sciences more interesting and exciting. Arts are a way to express emotion, helping students feel free to be who they are, and experience happiness. Dance and drawing are two types of Art that are avenues for expressing emotion without the need for words, which can tap into diverse strengths and talents. Some other ways to express oneself through Arts are through weaving and sculpting. Grant funding will help to support the overall goal of introducing types of Arts that are outside of the typical art programs provided at other schools. With the grant funds, training will be provided for three teachers, will assist in getting more art supplies as well as supplies to make musical instruments. There will be one hundred and twenty children finally able to have the opportunity to engage in arts-based activities and will be able to take part in a rich Arts experience.
