Introduction

Welcome to Image manipulation! 

We are bombarded by images in our daily lives these days as Media has truly gone visual. However, very little of what you see is truly real. So many of these images are changed and modified in one way - from subtle tweaks to the extreme. 

Image manipulation is when images are enhanced, manipulated, altered or modified in a way that's pleasing to our eyes or to obtain a certain effect for certain reasons. Basically, it is anything that changes an image from its original state.  

In this short course you will learn to:

• Use Photoshop as a tool for image manipulation

• Collect or capture still images

• Enhance images to improve light, colour, and balance

• Modify images to change appearances

• Remove unwanted features from images

• Completely change the composition of an image
