We're using Google Sites as it allows us to easily build a webpage that will look great.
First we'll go through a few of the basic tools like the ones shown here...
Find Google Sites and choose a starting Template
Use Content Blocks to get that perfect layout
Add sample text, images, and videos
Now work on building your page just like you designed. Use the layout tools to help you.
Your text needs to be easy to read and accurate.
Your content: You don't need to write your own text. Use text from a website you like or use Gemini to help you create text that matches your webpage.
Enter Content: Type / paste all the text for your Title, Main Hook, Description, and Call-to-Action. Hint: Use "paste as plain text" so you don't mess up your formatting!!!
Formatting: Use Google Sites tools to:
Set the Title to "Title" text style.
Set your main section headers to "Heading" text style.
Use bold or italics to highlight key details (like character names or specific dates)
Check every word for spelling mistakes. Use Google Sites' spell-check.
Your media (image, video) is there to grab attention and quickly communicate the topic.
Find/Create Media: Select high-quality, relevant images or a short video that suits your topic.
Add Media: Use the Google Sites Insert panel to add your image/video where you planned it in your Conceptual Design.
Resize Correctly: Do not stretch or squash your image. Use the corner handles in Google Sites to resize the image while keeping its original shape (aspect ratio). Cropping is fine, stretching is not!
