Customer Summary

The Customer Summary provides an overview of Details, Accounting and Transactions of Customers.

Get Started

  • The Customer Summary module is a fixed module that needs to be added to the Main Menu or/and to the Tile menu using Setup > Menu Manager.
  • Customers need to be set-up in Main Menu > Setup > Customers before attempting to use the Customer Summary module.

Navigation

Main Menu > Reporting (Customisable Menu Title) > Customer Summary > View

Once you've opened the Customer Summary, click View to display the four tabs as shown in the screenshot above.

1. Search

The Search tab allows you to find the desired Customer you wish to view a Customer Summary of. The other tabs will display records relating to the Customer selected in the Search tab.

Main Menu > Reporting (Customisable Menu Title) > Customer Summary > View > Search tab

  1. By right-clicking on a Customer provides additional functionality to Open Customer. This will open the Customer's Setups in Main Menu > Setup > Customers.
  2. Menu - The Menu button allows you to Synchronise with open Transaction. This will synchronise the Customer Summary with an open Transaction. This only works when the Customer Summary is displayed in the Side Panel.

2. Detail

The Detail tab shows the General details, Contact details as well as the Contacts for the selected Customer.

Main Menu > Reporting (Customisable Menu Title) > Customer Summary > View > Select Customer > Detail tab

  1. General - This provides information about the Customer's Status, Category, default Sales Rep, and when and by whom they were created as a Customer.
  2. Contact detail - This shows the Contact details of the Customer.
  3. Contacts - This show a list of all the Contacts stored for this Customer.

3. Account

The Account tab shows an overview of all Accounting for the selected Customer.

Navigation

Main Menu > Reporting (Customisable Menu Title) > Customer Summary > View > Select Customer > Account tab

  1. Accounting Detail - This shows the Contact, Account Number, VAT Number, Currency, Entities (if any) and Price Lists that are specified for this Customer. These are setup here.
  2. Credit Detail - This shows the Credit Terms, Approved Date, Secured, and Approved values for this Customer.
  3. Adjustment - This shows the Customer's adjustment percentage values (Adj%) allocated for Items and Estimates.
  4. Ageing - This shows the Customer Age Analysis for 90+ Days to Current, as well as Unallocated values.
  5. Credit - This shows the Total, Work in Progress, Total plus Work in Progress, Credit values, as well as the Credit Limit and Available amounts.
  6. Activity - This shows the Customer Activity in a graph for number of Quotations, Orders and Invoices over the selected period.

4. Transactions

The Transactions tab shows a history of Transactions for the selected Customer.

Main Menu > Reporting (Customisable Menu Title) > Customer Summary > View > Select Customer > Transactions tab

  1. Period - This allows you to select a date parameter to filter Transactions.
  2. Search bar - This allows you to search for specific content.
  3. Data Grid - This shows the Customer's Transactions by Status, Transaction Type, Number, Date, Order Number, Reference, and Total.

Note

It is recommended to configure the Customer Summary to be displayed in the Side Panel when setting up the module in the Menu Manager.
