Layout

The Layout Menu contains items for you to customise the window size and Interface, specific to that login. The Layout Menu is a default Menu Item and cannot be removed.

Main Menu > Layout

1. Main > Side / Side > Main

Main Menu > Layout > Main > Side or Side > Main

This allows you to move the Menu Item that opens in the Main-panel to the Side-panel and vice versa. I.e., the Main > Side or Side > Main functionality toggles the Open parameter for the currently open Menu Item set in the Menu Manager. See image below:

For example; the Quotations module is set to open in the Main-panel. See image below:

When you navigate to Main Menu > Layout > Main > Side the Quotations module will then be displayed in the side-panel. See image below:

By clicking Side > Main will return the Quotations module to the main-panel.

This is handy when you need to view two modules simultaneously, having one module in the main-panel and the other in the side-pane. For example; both modules displayed below are set to open in the main-panel, however the one is now displayed in the side-panel because of the Main Menu > Layout > Main > Side functionality. See image below:

2. Touch View

Main Menu > Layout > Touch View

The Touch View will make QuickEasy BOS touch device friendly. E.g., The Main Menu will be hidden, fields will be enlarged with drop-down lists and you will use the Tile menu to navigate between modules. See image below:

Note

When the Touch View is enabled, the Main Menu bar will be hidden, therefore you won't be able to change the View from the Layout Menu drop-down list. To return to the Standard View or Mobile View, you will need to use the Menu button (6) bottom right.

3. Standard View

Main Menu > Layout > Standard View

The Standard View is the default view for QuickEasy BOS. The Standard View is designed to be used on desktop computers and provides the most functionality. See image below:

4. Mobile View

Main Menu > Layout > Mobile View

The Mobile View is similar to the Touch view because it is intended to be used on mobile touch screen devices. Text will be enlarged and the interface will be displayed with a dark theme. See image below:

Note

When the Mobile View is enabled, the Main Menu bar will be hidden, therefore you won't be able to change the View from the Layout Menu drop-down list. To return to the Standard View or Touch View, you will need to use the Menu button (6) bottom right.

5. Window

Main Menu > Layout > Window

Select the size of the application's window to see how it will display on different screen sizes. See image below:

a. Dock Left - This will dock the application to the left-half of the screen.

b. Dock Right - This will dock the application to the right-half of the screen.

6. Menu

The Menu button allows you to do the following:

Refresh - This will refresh the application.
Restart - This will restart the application.
Set View - This allows you to toggle between Standard, Touch and Mobile View.
Window - This allows you to select different widow sizes.

7. Window Resize

Click and drag this button to change the window size of the application in both the X and Y directions.

You are also able to change the application's window size, in one direction at a time, by clicking and dragging from a specific side. See image below:
