OUR WEEK AT A GLANCE
Math: We will continue in Module 6. This week we will be working on lessons 5-7. On Thursday, students will be working on a study guide in class. Please review the study guide for homework. On Friday, students will be taking a test on lessons 1-7. We will also be reviewing math concepts that we have learned throughout the year in preparation for CAASPP testing.
Reader's Workshop: This week, we will continue to review concepts that we have learned throughout the year. Some key concepts we are reviewing include finding the main idea of a text, sequencing events in a story, answering text-dependent questions and comparing and contrasting. Students will also continue to practice creating a graphic organizer.
Writer's Workshop: This week, we will be working on an opinion paragraph using the OREO method. Students will respond to the prompt whether they think it is important to take care of the Earth based on information they learned last week for Earth Day.
Studies Weekly: In social studies this week, we will learn about the Chumash tribe. Students will learn more about the Chumash culture, traditions, and lifestyle.
P.E.: Please dress appropriately on Monday for P.E. every week.
