Week 30
April 13-17
April 13-17
Hello B1 Families,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a fun and relaxing Spring Break! We are officially on the countdown to Summer with only 8 weeks to go. There are a lot of exciting things coming up as the year wraps up. That being said, please talk with your child about the importance of good behavior. As a reminder, good behavior and completed class work determine if your child can attend Fun Friday.

OUR WEEK AT A GLANCE
Math: We will continue with lessons 14, 15, and 16 in Module 5 this week. Students will receive a study guide on Thursday. We will take a test on Friday. We will also be reviewing math concepts that we have learned throughout the year in preparation of CAASPP testing. As a reminder, we will take our multiplication test on Friday. Please practice multiplication daily for 10 minutes. The goal going forward is to master all multiplication facts x0-x12.
Reader's Workshop: We will be pausing Benchmark lessons to focus on key skills that 3rd graders will need as we approach CAASPP testing in May. We will be reviewing all language arts skills learned this year.
Writer's Workshop: This week, we will continue working on Opinion Writing. Students will be writing about their opinion on whether they believe kids should be allowed to have a cell phone using the OREO writing method.
