Course Outline
The Construction Industry is exceptionally buoyant at present, and this trend is predicted to continue into the foreseeable future. In the construction of modern houses, there is a heavy emphasis on carpentry & joinery.
This course is predominately a practical course with some classroom elements. You will be working within the college environment in a carpentry & joinery workshop and you will be using a range of relevant tools and equipment. As you work through this course you will develop your meta-skills (teamwork, timekeeping, communication etc.) and of course, your practical and written work. The completed portfolio is a useful resource to use when seeking a job.
