NPA in Cyber Security at SCQF Level 5

On-line security is now a major issue of concern to businesses and organisations all over the world. 

Cyber Security is the name given to the the field of IT which fights to protect company and personal data by increasing privacy and defeating the attempts of hackers to do harm on the internet. This field of work is sometimes referred to as "Ethical Hacking".

Course Outline

This course is designed to raise awareness of Cyber Security and work towards filling the skills gap in this field. 

The award provides foundation knowledge and skills in Data Security, Digital Forensics and Ethical Hacking.

Entry Level Recommended

Open to pupils in S4 - S6.

Learners should have demonstrated a keen interest in Computing and have obtained basic IT skills.

Course Content

Learners will achieve a National Progression Award (NPA) in Cyber Security (SCQF Level 5)
