Cookery / Bakery
NPA Professional Cookery and Bakery –SCQF Level 4
If you are interested in pursuing a career in the catering industry, but do not necessarily have any prior experience of cookery, then try this introductory course. You will learn skills in professional cookery, whilst working in the training kitchens within the Hospitality department. You will be preparing and presenting food in a realistic working environment throughout the academic year.
2-Year Rotation
Depending on when you start, the course will be based on either Cookery or Bakery. The following year, the other course will run which will give you the chance to cover both the Bakery and Cookery courses over a 2 year period while still at school.
If you have a particular preference between Cookery and Bakery, please mention this at the start of your personal statement when you complete your application form.
Entry Level
You should ideally have Core Skills at SCQF Level 3 but is at the discretion of the College
