This writing assessment is an example of a test which we were assigned for our Research Data and Design class. This assessment is one we take each marking period as a way of gauging the growth of our ability to quickly gather information through research and write an argumentative essay on it. We were initially given a time limit of the whole class period but we were then given extra time after class to finish the assignment. I was not able to finish within the class period but finished after the extra time. Despite not being able to finish within the initial time limit, I was able to gather enough evidence and points across all three articles to create an argumentative essay. For this writing assessment we were given three articles which all spoke on the issue of climate change in regards to the large emissions of CO2. However, each article spoke about climate change for a different purpose. For example, article one spoke about climate change affecting human capital. While article 3 spoke on the issue of climate change in regards to ocean life. On the last writing assessment I found myself not being able to gather enough evidence or fully understand the articles which in turned hindered my ability to create a structure for the essay. In this writing assessment for MP3, I utilized the reading techniques such as skimming and looking for the main points of the article to quickly gather and understand the information of the article. For this reason, I have chosen this as a glow assignment. I got a perfect score for the writing assessment and I can look back on how I was able to succeed on utilize  the same techniques for the next writing assessment. 

This writing assignment is an example of an assignment which were assigned for our Research Data and Design Class. The assignment was to create a methodology for our Captsone Project. The methodology would go over the three research points we choose to use. This methodology was written by my two other team members for the Capstone project and myself. Each one of us made it our goal to complete one of the research points based on our expertise on that topic. I took the research point which talked about What measurements can be implemented to the RMW nasal guard in order to ensure the nasal guard is flexible in its ability to fit the vast majority of mouth sizes? In the very beginning of researching on this topic, I found myself spending a lot of time doing research without fully understanding the material. The research papers which I found spoke with enhanced vocabulary about the topic which ultimately made it more difficult to understand. In addition, these research papers would be extremely long with pages of information. I have chosen this assignment specifically as one I can look back on and grow upon. I was able to get a near perfect score with the help of my team members. However, I want to improve on being able to gather the most important bits of information from extremely long articles. Furthermore, increasing my vocabulary and general knowledge to help aid and understand what specifically is being talked upon in the article. Lastly, I will look upon this assignment and look towards learning how to pick and drop articles which may or may not discuss the topics I am looking for.
