This assignment was assigned to us after creating a memory map. This assignment required us to write a narrative which talked about our lives and how literacy has affected it. We recalled memories which literacy played a role. One of the memories I wrote in this literacy narrative was the change of mindset I had for reading after 5th grade. My mindset of hating reading went to enjoying and wanting to read in my own time. I am proud of this assignment because I was able to gather memory's I almost forgot about literacy. I was able to use memories of my past to introduce and explain how literacy has affected my life. I was able to finish this assignment and get a good grade.

This assignment required us to gather 5 memory's of how literacy has played a role in our life. We were to draw a picture of these memories and a small description on how it relates to literacy. Some of the memories I drew in the poster were a memory of reading plus and a soccer game. Reading plus was introduced to us in elementary school and pushed on to us even more as we went up grades. I grew to dislike the assignment from reading plus due to the large amounts we were assigned as homework. Another memory was a soccer game that I had lost when I was younger which pushed me to journal. Losing this important soccer game pushed me to journal all I did good and all I did bad in the game of soccer. I drew a picture of a kid looking down and away from the direction of the trophy. I am proud of this assignment because I was able to draw and recall memories from the past.
