This is an example of an assignment we were assigned in our Research Data and Design class. This assignment is a literature review with multiple sections discussing in depth background knowledge on the issue we are tackling. In addition to discussing our ideas and views on creating a product which would solve the issue we are tackling. The issue we have decided to tackle is mouth breathing in relation to improper tongue posture. This assignment crosses over between our research data and design class and our engineering track class. We performed extensive research to ensure that the issue of improper tongue posture and the issue of mouth breathing were viable issues to find a solution for. Thus, the Literature review is a reflection of our extensive research and findings. We were placed into groups of three based on our passion to solving the issue at hand. All three of us have been affected by the side effects of improper tongue posture and mouth breathing to some extent. We found it to be an issue when playing our respective sports. As a result, the group is fully determined in creating a product to combat the effects of mouth breathing and improve breathing habits. To once again go back to our natural state of nasal breathing. This literature review required all group members to communicate and work as a team in order to ensure everyone is at task and are working as effectively as possible. In completing each section of the literature review, we split up the work where each member worked on one of our research points. In addition to making sure everyone reviews and revises each of our work to ensure we are getting our point across. This assignment is an example of one I am proud of and can look back on as a glow.

This is an example of an assignment we were assigned in our Research Data and Design Class. The assignment was to create a presentation in order to defend and expand on our idea for the solution we have decided to solve. In our case, we are tackling mouth breathing in relation to improper tongue posture by creating a type of guard which will have a piece of it push the tongue to the roof of the mouth in order to build healthy habits. The guard itself will be easily mold-able in the sense that it will be a "boil and bite" guard which can be put into boiling water in order to soften the guard. Furthermore, inside of the presentation each team member has to present themselves and give a brief description to justify our issue. In order to complete this assignment, teamwork and communication was vital. We needed to make sure we got all the major points across on our presentation. We aimed to keep irrelevant information out of the way and work towards our presentation skills. In the end, we were able to create a presentation which indeed got our points across but was not as effective as we would have liked. The presentations format and design was inconsistent and the order of how we presented our ideas could have been different. This assignment is an example of one I am proud of but can definitely look back on as one that can be improved. This assignment is a glow assignment that can be looked back upon in order to improve on future google slides presentation.
