This assignment was a group project which was assigned after learning about colonization. Colonization was a major problem in Africa, as European nations invaded and took over foreign land. These European nations forced the people to work and produce goods under their name. Congo is known for its grueling and horrible past after the colonization of Belgium. I was in charge of researching the government before and after colonization. I learned how Congo had three empire's, the most successful was the Luba empire. The government of the Luba empire was that the ruler's were chosen based on the descendants of the king.  I was successfully able to gather enough information to get a good grade on this assignment. I am also not good with public speaking but I was able to successfully present the information I was in charge of.
