This assignment required us to read 10 news articles from the New York Times. We read 10 news articles and were assigned to write a one paragraph description of the article. I chose this assignment as it was one of the first assignments we were assigned which introduced us to what we were gonna learn through the year. This assignment pushed us to read and write about current events that are going around the world. It taught us the bad and good that is going on outside of just our country. I am proud of this assignment because I successfully finished this assignment and ended off with a good grade. 

This assignment was assigned after going over the book we read over the summer, Enrique's Journey. In this assignment, we went into groups and decided if we are gonna do, logos, pathos, or ethos. Our group chose to do Logos, which revolves around logic and statics. We then got quotes within the book that we can use to appeal to logos. One of the quotes we used talked about the high percentage of children who are looking for their parents in the United States. We then brought in statics that say 75 percentage or 48,000 children travel in the same conditions as Enrique. I chose this assignment as it showed our groups and myself ability to compare the book and real life statics. I am proud of this assignment because I enjoyed the book and was able to finish this assignment.
