This assignment required us to read 5 New York Times articles on current events. This assignment allowed us to read and document about the events going on within and outside the US. One of the current events I read was about how the school system is working in Ukraine as the war between Ukraine and Russia is still raging. The school's are still in session with in person and virtual learning is in place. However, it is in horrible conditions as food goes down, WiFi goes down, and overall fear of an attack on the school is high. I am proud of this assignment because I was able to successfully read current events and document them into a paragraph.

This assignment was a quiz we were assigned to test our knowledge on the vocabulary words we were given. I chose this assignment because I was able to match all the vocabulary to their correct definitions. These words were tested on us because we were then going to use them as we began to read the 1619 project. We learned about pacing, Comic relief, Parody, and more. I am proud of this assignment because I was able to get a higher score than previous rhetorical terms definitions quiz.
