This assignment tested our ability to use 10 of the new vocabulary we learned into our own story. During this marking period, we learned about the trade routes, oasis, and goods being traded. The 10 words that I choose were, Compass, Trade network, silk road, Merchant cultures, Caravans, Monsoon winds, Marco Polo, Textiles, Porcelains, and Kasghar. I used these words to create a the story of a merchant who set out to become the richest and best merchant. This merchant traveled throughout the silk road, meeting other merchants, and selling goods. It was not an easy journey as the merchant met many setbacks such as the Bubonic plague. I am proud of this assignment as I was able to get 100 and successfully complete the assignment.
