The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) offers important protections for military members and their families. This includes two specific types of leave. For a comprehensive guide from the Department of Labor, please refer to the FMLA Military Family Leave Guide.
Qualifying Exigency Leave: To help family members manage certain non-medical needs that arise when a service member is on active duty or called to active duty in support of a contingency operation.
