HOW TO...

How to Identify Your Own Demographics

NKY Health relies on its employees to self-identify their own demographics. We maintain information about each employee's demographics (gender, race, ethnicity, veteran status, etc.)  in it's Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Please log into ADP's WFN (Workforce Now)  and check the appropriate boxes related to your demographics in the personal information section.

For assistance setting up and changing personal information see ADP's Workforce Now (WFN).

How to Share a Job Posting with a Referral Source

Employees are welcome to share NKY Health's job postings and/or asking anyone outside of NKY Health to refer candidates for employment.

When you share a job posting to solicit referrals, you must send a "Notice to Referral Sources" upon the initial request and annually on July 1 or the first business day after.

Please cut-and-paste the language from the model notice below into an e-mail with the subject line "Notice to Referral Sources" and send it to the referral source with a CC to the HR Administrator.

Model Notice to Referral Sources to Cut-and-Paste (cc HR)

FROM: fname.lname@nkyhealth.org (yourself)

CC: fname2.lname2@nkyhealth.org (HR)

SUBJECT: EEO Notice to Referral Source

Since you or your organization is a source of referrals for employment opportunities with our organization, we wish to take this occasion to restate, in writing, our employment policy. Quoting from that policy: “It is the policy of Northern Kentucky Health Department to encourage and support equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants for employment without regard to age (40 or over), HIV/AIDS status, race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, childbirth, pregnancy/childbirth related medical conditions, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, family status, smoker status, genetic information or any other legally protected classification except where a bona fide occupational qualification applies. Employment decisions will be evaluated on the basis of an individual’s skills, knowledge, abilities, job performance, and other legitimate qualifications. Equal Employment Opportunity is among the highest priorities for NKY Health.”

In keeping with the above policy statement, we request that your organization refer qualified applicants to us without regard to age (40 or over), HIV/AIDS status, race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, family status, smoker status, and/or genetic information.

Job vacancies not filled through internal transfer are posted on the Careers at NKY Health page of our website. Human Resources can be reached by email at hr@nkyhealth.org or by phone at 859-344-5476.

We ask that you retain this email in your Northern Kentucky Health Department file for future reference and share it with others at your organization. Your assistance and cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
