A-Students will fill out the Beginning, middle , end handout.
B-Students will imagine that they are the main character in “Quan’s Decision”. Students
will write 3 short diary entries for Quan.
1. Should reflect on how Quan was feeling.
2. Should express her feelings during the middle of the story.
3. Should express her feelings about the day she got her hair cut.

3.Writing-The Principal’s reaction to Josephine is very surprising. Students will imagine they are going to interview the principal about the incident. Have half of the class coming up with questions they can ask the principal to better understand her actions. Have the rest of the class answer the questions. (Online students can do this with a parent and a sibling/parent)
4. Students will learn that the news we hear is a sensationalised version of what really happened. Students will then imagine themselves as reporters assigned to report on this story. Students will practice reporting events from the beginning, middle, end of the story making it as funny as possible. Students will then present their reports. Ex. “Good evening, we have just learned that a lost cat terrorized a local school today,”...etc
