Writing-Interview an older. Students will write questions to interview a senior family member. Students should include a heading and a title. Students should use the sequence words.
Oral: Questions asked to students during and after the reading.
Homework- Read the pages. Complete the handout (On google classroom)
Writing -use a venn diagram, on one side our life-the other side would be the pioneers life-the middle is the shared or the same. Students will be encouraged to use the words of comparisons ( like, instead, compared to, and any other words they know)
Oral presentation_ Students will be given topics to search and present. 1. Compare a pioneer life and modern life in terms of clothing, transportation, entertainment, or family life. Or they could choose a different topic that involves comparison- such as life on a space station compared to life on earth., a comparison of two sports, or comparison of two favorite TV shows.
Homework- Media/writing_students will compare two commercials which they advertise ads, comparing two products.
