Unit: Personal stories

Learning Goal: Students will identify characteristics of a personal story.

Assessments: Ongoing observations

Class Work: -

Oral- 1. Reading- Read pg. 25-31 and answer the questions on the worksheets below.

2. Oral- Each group of students will receive 4 large index cards which has first, next, after that, finally. Each student will be creating a personal story about an ordinary day at school. Members of the group can make suggestions and help each other. Once done, each group will read their part to make up the story. Stories will be then presented to the class in groups.

*** ( Online Students can do the 4 parts by yourself or with a sibling/parent)

3. Writing:

a. Students will imagine the story from Peter’s point of view and will plan the story with peter as the main character..

b. *if time permits we will do the following

c. Students will plan a new personal story with Peter as the main character; and will fill out the story map handout. (Posted on google classroom)

Homework: complete any class work
