Artist Statement:

We all live in an interconnected world where traveling and migrating have become a norm. It became so common that at times, some of us have multiple identities. To me, the memories of holidays and home reminded me of my past experiences, a sense of home, and transparency. Having to live in New Zealand at a very young age and coming back to Singapore permanently, made me feel as I've never belonged to any specific country. Whenever my family took a holiday trip back to New Zealand, it felt like home, vice versa when I am back in Singapore. Do we all belong to one home? What defines our home? What defines our identity? In my research, I decided to collate memories as I reconstruct a new identity for myself.
