Artist Statement:
My artwork is inspired by Kandinsky. He is said to have seen lines and colours while listening to music. The vibrant cityscape is the result of how music can affect our mood and the choice of colours.
The exploration process allowed students to experience how environmental factors affect their creative process. With careful planning, Minh Dat used oil pastels to blend colours, representing how he interprets colour with music. - Ms Yanti Binte Rahim

Kandinsky was a Russian painter, one of the famous pioneers of abstraction in Western Art. To date, he is most commonly described as the artist who 'painted music'. Kandinsky's art theories behind his works were not only inspired by music, but meticulously composed through geometric abstractions.
