Artist Statement:
I made my artwork using a delivery box and old newspapers. I am happy that I can play my part to recycle, thus protecting the planet and animals.
Ruiqing is an enthusiastic student-artist. He often incorporates ideas from the different books he read into his drawings. He also takes the initiative to seek further improvements in his artworks. Ruiqing created this artwork on his own accord. This demonstrates both his passion in Art and enthusiasm in honing the skills he learnt outside the classroom. - Miss Amilia

💡 Artist Reference
Bradford is well known for his large imaginative sculptures of humans and animals which uses discarded plastic items. He says that he likes the idea of how the plastic pieces have a history, and that they all pass on bits of it as each piece are represented.
Bradford created his sculptures by adding a variety of plastic items on top of wood .

Create your own animal using recycled materials.
Look around you and find any recyclable materials which you can use to create your real, or imaginative animal.
Think about how you can attach the two different materials together.
"Should I use white glue/ glue stick/ clear tape/ double sided tape/ masking tape/ or blue tack?"
Experiment and explore and see which tool helps the best.
I want to learn paper sculpture techniques.
