Artist Statement:

This piece was drawn during Chinese New Year. Therefore, I drew a female character which represents me, together with a 龙 (Lóng) meaning "dragon" in Chinese, which is believed to bring good luck to people. I wanted to also show that the beast and the human are connected to one another through mind and body and that they can co-exist bringing harmony to the world.

This artwork done by Tania shows her love for anime figures and creatures, which can be seen in the depiction of the two characters. She also loves to use swirls and vibrant colours to create movement and liveliness in her work. - Gayatri Devi Kumar
