Artist Statement:
Our Digital Community portrays the inter-connectedness within our community. The nylon string symbolizes how everyone can be easily linked through the internet especially during COVID-19 period. The keyboard and sandwiched phone signify how both serve as a crucial platforms to provide sustenance of our daily needs and communications with one another via the use of different applications.
The young artists' interpretation of the digital community is illustrated by using public housing in Singapore. They have understood how technology has played an important role through their daily experiences especially during the circuit breaker period. They expressed their experiences through their creation in an authentic setting. - Mr Wong
