Ingredients:
3lbs of beef tongue
1 medium yellow onion
1 medium tomato
1/2 tablespoon of salt
10-12 cups of water
Stir frying:
1/2 copped onion
1/2 chopped tomato
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp of onion powder
1/4 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp of chicken bouillon
Recipe:
In a pot add 10-12 cups of water along with the 1 onion, 1 tomato and 1/2 tablespoon of salt.
Give the water a good mix and add in the beef tongue.
Boil for 3-4 hours are medium-high heat. (Note: you can also pressure cook for 30 minutes)
Once cooked, remove the beef tongue from the broth and let it cool down. When cooled remove the tough outer layer of the tongue and chop it up.
In a pan add oil, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and chicken bouillon and stir fry
Add in the chopped beef tongue. (Note: I like to stir fry for about 10-15 minutes until see a nice crust)
Load up your taco with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
