Youth are defined as those aged 12-24 in the life span, from adolescence to young adulthood. The United Nations, for statistical purposes, defines those persons between the ages of 15-24.
Individuals that sit within the group 'youth' are diverse and have a variety of characteristics. Because of the lifespan that youth covers, young people within this group can range from young people at primary school, high school, Uni, TAFE, in the workforce, moving out of home, renting, travelling, married, engaged, employed part-time, full time, interstate, overseas, married with or without children etc.
