despite the expense of technological development. often longterm economic benefits drive such development
e.g. using 3D printing & improvements to desalination plants leading to inexpensive production of a small number of parts & reduction in costs associated with water & electricity bills
Researchers are well aware of the detrimental effects of resources on our world, which is why many are developing technologies to combat climate change
e.g solar power as a replacement for traditional fossil fuels
e.g. In Vitro meat which could reduce the large amounts of methane gas produced by animals that are bred for slaughter
Advancements & developments in technology have impacted & revolutionized education & training, with new ways of delivering classes, participating in classes, storing, accessing & creating information
e.g. Cloud Computing & mobile technology have enabled online collaboration through the sharing of knowledge & ideas as well as creating opportunities for differentiation & self directed learning
Discuss for understanding:

What are the reasons for the development?
What are the factors affecting access and acceptance of the technology?
What are the impacts on lifestyle and wellbeing?
