The impact of technology on community health and wellbeing in a positive manner can be attributed to advancements in medical equipment, improvements in diagnosis, rehabilitation, disease prevention and cure, treatment, awareness of wellness programs, availability of nutritional guidelines, and the development of new health and entertainment/leisure equipment/devices. Negatively, technology can impact on community health and wellbeing through increasing sedentary behaviour, developing poor food habits, creating obsessions with technology, environmental concerns, financial hardship, societal pressure, and dangerous or inappropriate social media practices.
Productive communities result when individuals and groups are able to access services and meet their needs, and technology assists them in being able to do this.
Learning together: Technology has helped make training & education more accessible. with a range of different education levels available & the option of remote education available. The personalisation & freedom of choice enabled through technology contributes to more equitable & interactive education opportunities for the community.

Healthy together: Technology in the health & medicine sector has seen life-saving & life-changing change over the year, with technological advancements continuing to develop the possibilities regarding reproduction. prevention, diagnosis, treatment. rehabilitation & cosmetics.

Eating together: The production, storage, preservation, acquisition & preparation of food has been impacted by technological developments in the sector. Sterilisation, packaging, delivery, farming, marketing & storage of food, such as freezing, have each seen drastic change since the industrial revolution & beyond.

Relaxing together: Recent years have seen the development of entertainment & leisure technology that offers more access, personalisation, choice & freedom than ever before.
