Learn to explore each parenting or caring style and assess the impact it can have on the roles of parents and carers.
The style of parenting and caring an individual adopts may be linked to their own previous experiences, the age of the dependant and perhaps their cultural expectations. How? The style of parenting or caring the individual adopts will influence how they fulfill their roles of a parent or carer (ie: PBS)
Discuss: How do your parents "parent"? strict, relaxed? both? what do you respond best to? If you were a parent, how would you parent?

Discuss advantages and disadvantages of each. Use the tables below for ideas and give your own examples.
