Ethics Update

The Net Church

As The Leigh Academy students explored different religions in Ethics, they were privileged to have Pastor Ellis Morely from the local church community in the academy to visit them. The Net Church in Dartford has been active in partnership with The Leigh Academy for the past year. In the past The Net has offered clubs at lunch times where all students could sit and explore different issues affecting them as young people, on a daily basis.

Pastor Eliis now presents interactive activities linked to MYP that engage students. They were particularly excited to ask questions about the church in the community. These questions provided students with a deeper understanding of some aspects of the syllabus in a practical way. At the end some students commented, “this is the best Ethics lesson” and “ I really enjoy this lesson sir”.
