Christmas Jumper Days

Christmas Jumper Days at The Leigh Academy are our festive tradition that sees students celebrate the holiday season whilst raising money for two very worthwhile causes at the same time. As usual our chosen charities were Save The Children and Bantabami (a charity which runs an Aids orphanage in South Africa).

The array of festive jumpers was perfectly complimented by festive activities inluding:

• Christmas quizzes in tutors times

• Christmas dinners in the restaurant

• Christmas celebrations with mince pies for Post 16 students

• Secret Santa and Santa hat making in some of the Year 7 tutor groups

Although we would have enjoyed our traditional Christmas sing song on the balconies and plazas and we were not able to do a Christmas production, we have enjoyed our seasonal celebrations and wish our everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
