Getting Dramatic!

KS3:

Year 7 have been exploring Greek Theatre in its original form and then transforming it to a modern day performance using a variety of stylistic techniques.

Year 8 have had to dig deep to find the emotions about victims of joyriding and portraying the range of emotions involved with survivor's guilt.

Year 9 have been investigating the three foundation practitioners: Stanislavski, Brecht and Artaud to extend their understanding of different art forms, alongside extending their physical and vocal range through an abstract approach.

KS4:

In Year 10, the students have been working on a performance of ‘Too Much Punch For Judy' using various interpretations. Year 11 have been practising approaches to their final 40% external examination using briefs from previous years.


KS5:

Year 12s have been working on ‘Things I KNow To Be True’ by exploring ndepth emotions to communicate their monologues.

Year 13s have just completed a performance of ‘Punk Rock’ by combining Stanislavski and Frantic Assembly techniques to portray these extremely complicated characters. The final performance was impactful and the performance had an intense effect on the audience.
