Hearing Impairment Specialist Provision News
Our HI SRP students have been busy this term producing a powerpoint that focused on Deaf Awareness to support staff and students with what it is like to be deaf. This has been a huge success.
The Year 10s also supported the Year 6 transition morning with students starting in September.
SEN Transition
The SEN champions have made a wonderful powerpoint presentation for supporting our new Year 7 cohort. They wanted to create a presentation that would inform our new students of the key information they will need for September. The presentation has been shown multiple times and has been a huge success.
The SEN champions also supported our SEN transition morning. They discussed how The Leigh Academy supports all students with SEN and also raised awareness of ASD.
Thank yous and Farewell
Finally, I would like to thank all our students and staff for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year. We wish our Year 11’s every success on result days for their GCSE exams and on their new adventures.
Sadly, we are saying goodbye to Miss Rahman and Mrs Gills. We wish them all the best.
