Careers

Preparing for the future is preparing for careers. Students in recent modules have prepared for assessments by gaining expert led webinars, tutor time activities and other exploratory activities to help them improve in the present, so that their future is more achievable.

Working in our community is never more at the forefront of our thoughts than in July, as Year 10 go on Work Experience. We are very grateful to the employers who have taken on and given this opportunity to our students.

On top of this, we continue to welcome outside organisations and speakers into the school to support broadening the horizons of our students.

Canterbury Christ Church University ran an assembly for all of our our Year 7 students that focused on exploring the every day life of a student at university. A group of our students were then given the opportunity to work with current students who visited us and consider the life choices of a pretend character. This activity supported them imagining the choices that they need to make in order to attend university.
