A very warm welcome to our new families that have joined us since September. We are looking forward to supporting your child throughout their secondary school experience.

New Staff

In September, our Inclusion team welcomed Miss Adewusi, who is our new SEN teacher supporting those students, in particular, in our SLCN SRP. We have also welcomed 2 (LSAs) Miss Pelling and Miss Sturgess to the team.

SEN Coffee Mornings

Thank you to all who attended our SEN college coffee morning. Due to the success of these, we will be running more sessions; we will let you know the dates in the new year.

SEN Champions

Our SEN champions meet twice a module to support our SEN community. They are always enthusiastic about sharing good progress and also offer further suggestions to support our students further.

This term, the SEN Champions felt that the hub needed to have a Christmas makeover and decorated the hub to make the space even more welcoming.

Harry Potter Day

Our LSA staff fully embraced the Harry Potter day on Monday 11th December. What a great Mrs Weasley and Professor Trelawney they made!

HI SRP

Our students within the HI have also been busy this term teaching our SEN community the signs for Merry Christmas. In particular, our year ten students have been teaching Christmas songs to Year 8. If you would like to try, please see below.
