historical fiction (8-10 sentences): France spring of 1889 Paul was on his way to his art studio as he was walking he spotted a group of cops rough housing a colored person. He wanted to intervene but he didn't want to be in more trouble with the French than he was already. As a kid him and his family were driven out of France by the authorities and he had just recently returned to start his life. Later that day he heard in the paper that the colored man had died due to injuries. He couldn't help but blame himself. The next Sunday he promised he would go to church to pray that the man has safe passage to heaven. So as he promised himself he was at church that Sunday and he prayed for the man but he just thought that the people in the church didn't understand what had just happened. So he took action and headed to his art studio where he created the painting yellow Christ to show that Christianity accepted all in to heaven and that Jesus was every person's savior.
