historical fiction (8-10 sentences):

It was a beautiful clear day. Everyone around me were carrying books, paint, and paper everywhere they go. The renaissance era, the era where art and literature thrived and prospered. Walking down the streets of Italy made me fall in love with this place all over again, I see men wearing colorful tights and stockings while woman wore long gorgeous dresses that makes them look elegant yet fashionable at the same time. I was only 10 at the time, a young girl trying to comprehend what was going on around me and trying to take in as much information as I can. After observing this one butterfly that was on a flower near me, I glanced over to my right to see this man on a stool that was drawing a portrait of this one beautiful woman with eyes that looked like they can see right through your soul. Out of curiosity, I slowly approached the man on the stool drawing this stunning woman. Out of my clumsiness I tripped over a rock and accidentally bumped into the man, causing him to drop his brush and for him to shoot his dagger eyes at me at lightning speed.

“Now what are you doing here young lady, please be more careful” he replied to me sternly before picking up his brush again and looked back at the model and continued to draw. She gave a small mischievous smile towards me and looked back at the painter. I blushed and hurried home, not before glancing at his painting though, the painting looked so lifelike it was almost identical to the woman herself. A clone? After encountering that man and that woman, becoming a artist and using items as simple as a brush and paint to create something unique and beautiful was what I was the most passionate about for many many years to come.
