The new STEELS (Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy & Sustainability) Standards challenge educators to implement science instruction that is 3-Dimensional through the use of phenomena. In addition, many skills vital to learning to read are the same skills needed to comprehend science, such as prediction, cause & effect, understanding sequence, building background knowledge, and expanding on a rich vocabulary. Join us to learn more about how you can engage students in science through literacy to build these skills.
