Simulations for School Leaders on March 14, 2018
Intermediate Unit One, in partnership with the PA Principals’ Association, will be hosting an Act 45 PIL workshop entitled “Simulations for School Leaders” on March 14, 2018 from 8:30-3:00 at the IU1 Central Office in Coal Center. Through the use of simulations delivered by consultants and staff from the PA Principals' Association, administrators will sharpen their leadership skills of decision-making using real-life applications. These simulations allow school leaders to play out their decisions in a safe environment while understanding the effects of their everyday decisions on others. These simulations will help administrators hone their people skills as well as practice tough conversations.30 Act 45 PIL hours will be awarded for this workshop. The cost for this workshop is $250. This challenge invites students in grades 6-12 to make video games about real world issues impacting our communities. Pittsburgh region is one of five cities participating in the country.
Students can submit individually or as a team.
Site includes teacher and student resources, everything is submitted online.
