Local Assessment Uploads begin June 7 in PIMS
LEAs are encouraged to report sufficient assessment data to facilitate meaningful analysis. Assessment data may be reported for the 2017-18 through 2020-21 school years. Data for each school year is reported in a data set specific to that school year (2017-18 data is reported in the C6 Local Assess Analytics 2017-18 data set). Data for multiple administrations of the same assessment within a school year may be reported.
PIMS Manuals and Calendar has been updated with this information
The Student Local Assessment Subtest Template for Reporting and Analytics Template Verification report can be found in the PIMSReports MyPDESuite application at eScholar Framework for Cognos > Verify > Validation Reports > Template Verification.
No Accuracy Certification Statement is required for this data set.
The PIMS Manual and Elementary-Secondary Data Collection Calendar can be found on the PIMS webpage at http://www.education.pa.gov > Data and Reporting> PIMS.

There’s nothing intuitive about the act of reading: Learning to decode intricate symbolic systems quickly and accurately is a hard-won skill. But even the next level of reading strategies—the stopping and starting, the gaps in comprehension that sometimes open up as we read, and must be plugged, the questions and predictions—are skills that must be taught and mastered. ~ Sarah Gonser, Edutopia May 26, 2021
