SS Awards and Recognition

In the Secondary school we have two award categories, Subject awards and the Director's List. 

The subject awards are given to a student who demonstrates genuine curiosity and a strong commitment to their learning, consistently achieving high academic standards in this subject. It celebrates students who approach their work with rigour, take pride in their achievements, and strive for academic excellence.

In Grades 6 - 10, subject awards a conferred by group, while in the Grades 11 and 12 these are conferred by individual subject, including Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay.

The Director's List is determined at the end of the school year. It is in recognition of genuinely outstanding academic work.

 Director’s List Criteria: 

In Grades 6 - 10, the student has earned 50 total points (out of 56) or more, and no score less than a four (4).  In Grade 10, students must achieve at least a 6 on their Personal Project to achieve Director's List.

In Grades 11 & 12, the student has earned 36 total points (out of 42) or more, and no score less than a four (4).

The Secondary School also recognises students with the following awards:

The Taingchet Lutlah (តាំងចិត្តលូតលាស់) Award: This award is presented in recognition of outstanding personal and academic growth, honouring the recipient's dedication to continuous improvement, perseverance, and commitment to reaching their full potential. It celebrates the curiosity to explore new ideas, the courage to embrace challenges, and the resilience to keep striving forward.

The Personal Project Award (Grade 10): This award recognises outstanding achievement in the Personal Project.  It celebrates a student’s ability to inquire deeply, think critically, and create a purposeful and well-developed product, demonstrating strong research, reflection, and self-management.

EARCOS Global Citizenship Award: This award is presented to a student who embraces the qualities of a global citizen. This student is a proud representative of his/her nation while respectful of the diversity of other nations, has an open mind, is well informed, aware and empathetic, concerned and caring for others encouraging a sense of community and strongly committed to engagement and action to make the world a better place. Finally, this student is able to interact and communicate effectively with people from all walks of life while having a sense of collective responsibility for all who inhabit the globe. Faculty nominate students for the award. A panel of the IB Diploma Coordinator, CAS Coordinator, the Grade level leader for Grade 11 and the Secondary Principals discuss the nominations and determine the final recipient. Presented at the Second Semester Awards Ceremony.

ISPP Legends: Issued for graduating students and leaving teachers who have been a part of the ISPP community for 10 years or more, and determined by review of records. Presented at the Graduation Ceremony.

Community and Service Award: Presented to a maximum of two graduates, recognised for their positive character and service to the school and the community. Faculty nominates students, and the CAS Coordinator, IB Diploma Coordinator, and Secondary Principal review the nominations and determine the final recipient(s). Presented at the Graduation Ceremony.

Presented at the Graduation Ceremony.

Community Engagement Award: Not dissimilar from the Grade 12 Community and Service Award, the MYP Community Engagement Award celebrates students’ engagement with Global Citizenship, and their service to the school and wider community.

Leadership Award: Presented to a maximum of two graduates, recognised for their leadership contributions and participation in the ISPP decision-making process. Faculty nominates students and the Student Union Advisor, Grade level leader for Grade 12, and the Secondary Principal, review the nominations and vote for the final recipient(s). Presented at the Graduation Ceremony.

Athletic Achievement Awards: Given to students for their outstanding achievements in sports and selected by coaches. Presented at the End-of-year Awards Ceremony.
