An explanation text is telling someone what or how something works. We wrote about how the water cycle and the four main elements of this.
We congratulated the King on his coronation and the events that happened. We also asked him some questions about his role as King and the coronation.
We had agency over whether we wrote this by hand or used a Google Doc and we could choose which boarder we wanted to use.
These were posted to the King!
We wrote newspaper articles recaping the King's Coronation. We hot seated in class people who may have been at the coronation so that we could include this reported speech on our articles. This involved lessons in inverted commas.
Some of the features we included were the past tense, third person, pictures with captions, headlines and we had the choice of added sub headings if we wanted to.
