Pupils will be about:
Britain’s settlement by Anglo-Saxons and Scots
chronology to secure knowledge and understanding of British, local and world history
We looked at the types of settlements there were in Anglo-Saxon Britain and compared these theo Roman settlements. We designed our own settlements in paris based on the key facts;
located near a water source, forest land cut down, room to plant and grow crops and must have a large hut in the centre.
Pupils will be taught how to
develop a chronologically that is secure knowledge and shows understanding of British, local and world history, establishing clear narratives within and across the periods they study.
We considered chronology to show key events from the past. We considered when we were born and other events.
We thought about key historical events and events that we had heard about.
Peoples beliefs and views can affect how they think certain events happened.
We linked this is incidents in the playground when there has been a disagreement.
