Pupils should be taught to:
play and perform in solo and ensemble contexts, playing musical instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression
improvise and compose music for a range of purposes using the inter-related dimensions of music
listen with attention to detail and recall sounds with increasing aural memory
appreciate and understand a wide range of high-quality live and recorded music drawn from different traditions and from great composers and musicians
We linked our Music and Science lessons by considering the pitch of a range of musical instruments.
We listened carefully to pieces of music and decided what type of instrument was creating a high or low pitch.
We thought about the story of Peter and the Wolf and the instruments used to represent each character and why that was the best instrument
Using Chrome music Lab we created a piece of music that had a high and low and pitch.
