This term will have been developing our hockey skills with our secondary specialist.
We attempted to get the ball through a target. We were taught how to hold the hockey stick properly so no accidents happened.
We were dribbling with control through gates.
We used the cones to control the ball using the flat side of the stick.
We were turning the stick over to the flat side when turning the ball.
We practiced having a stable base when passing so we had more control and the ball would go here we wanted it.
We lowered our hands to make it easier to dribble.
We tried to increase our speed to provide more challenge. We were taught how to move around to protect the ball from an opponent.
We practiced using t stops with our hockey sticks to stop the ball before passing to a team mate.
This week was mainly passing.
The weight of the pass is important so we know how hard to hit it to a friend.
We considered how we can keep the ball away from an opponent by moving or passing the ball around them.
We must speed up to keep away from attackers and were encouraged to use the whole of the space available by dribbling
Stable bases were used when practicing our passes.
We were introduced to reverse passes as another way to keep the ball away from an attacker.

We have been working with a secondary teacher working on our cricket skills
We have been trying to hit the ball back through a target. We made it bigger so it's easier and though a smaller to make it harder
When doing this we have had are partners trying to stop the ball from going though the target
W have also been having it higher so we practice the vary of the ball in a game
