Children have continued to develop their ability to play the ukulele and have learnt ten songs. Children have become so much more confident following the songs and playing the correct notes at the right time. Kestrel class has the added pressure of playing a solo piece in front of a packed crowd at the Central Theatre in March

We are preparing for the Christmas Carol Festival at Rochester Cathedral in December. We will be performing ten different song with Year 6 and eight other schools. We are working extremely hard to learn all of the lyrics and perform them with gusto and as an ensemble.

This term, children have been introduced to the ukulele by Medway Music Association teacher, Mr T, and taught how to hold the instrument correctly and explored and practised different chords.
We found out that we will be playing in the ukulele ensemble in March and will be learning a variety of different songs next term.
