Ms. O'Connor is our Wellbeing teacher.
We have signed up to a course called Project sky 2020 for the year.
This entails multiple topics, from sleep to nutrition.
So far we have covered the Sleep topic.
We have watched videos, filled out crosswords and had open discussions about our sleeping patterns and problems.
I have learned that as teens our body clock shifts by 2 hours and hormones called Melatonin recover by night.
We are going to be doing yoga sometime after midterm too.
We also did a written quiz to find out what type(s) of intelligence we all possess. I scored highest in linguistic, naturalist and intrapersonal.

For term two, Ms. O'Connor assigned us a well-being project on a topic of our choice. My project is called 'Anxiety & I', and is interpreted on a Google Site.
We have a handout to follow, which contains essential criteria necessary to obtain credits for the rest of transition year.
I am really enjoying this project, as I love using my creative side to present my work. The Google site is a really fun application, as it allows you to display personal work in any manner with or without spending too much time on it. I also enjoy researching and learning new excerpts of information.
We are also continuing with our Project Sky course. Recently, we have just finished the Nutrition one.

We watched the movie 'Inside Out', as part of our well being course,
The movie follows Riley (Kaitlin Dias) a happy, hockey-loving 11-year-old Midwestern girl, but her world turns upside-down when she and her parents move to San Francisco. Riley's emotions -- led by Joy (Amy Poehler) -- try to guide her through this difficult, life-changing event. However, the stress of the move brings Sadness (Phyllis Smith) to the forefront. When Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of Riley's mind, the only emotions left in Headquarters are Anger, Fear and Disgust.
In the end, we learn that happiness to not just about 'Joy'.
